Laurence Strong Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I am participating in a quiz ,a nd need to know the answer to this question:"Who was the Left Hand Man of the Line"?It relates to British Army, but is not specific to a particular Regiment or individual. Thanks for your help
harribobs Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 probably three months late but the Left Hand Man of the Line, would be the Light Company, the right hand man would be the Grenadiers
Tony Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 probably three months late but the Left Hand Man of the Line, would be the Light Company, the right hand man would be the GrenadiersHello,Any particular reason for that?Tony
harribobs Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 it's the way a regiment of the line would 'line' up in battle orderthe light and grenadier companies being the flank companies with the other companies in between them
