Steve campbell Posted February 12, 2008 Share Posted February 12, 2008 This interesting piece arrived today. It appears to have a sheet metal core. It looked diffrent so I took a chance. It wasn't expensive. It is very light weight. I was afraid it would blow away when I took the photos. It is magnetic and 3 piece construction. The hardware looks period type with a nice needle pin. Frame appears to be silver. It is not marked. I like to collect variants so this on intrigued me. What does everyone think of this one? Anyone ever come across such a thing? Was it some bargain cross? These have many variations as you all know, so it seems possible. Too bad about all the paint loss, but nothing holds paint better than the traditional iron cores.
