No pun intended but it did strike a chord with me being an ex-Royal Marine musician, so paid a couple of euros for it.All I know about it is the trio are from Detmold-Hiddesen and the trumpeter is holding a Bavarian trumpet. These horns are different and harder to play than the usual trumpets as they have rotary valves (the 3 rotors to the left of his hand, like the french horn) and not piston valves as is the norm. When I played 'reeds' in "Die Best der Broadway" Euro tour 1998 the trumpetman (from Sydney,Aus) was learning the Bavarian trumpet in Detmold!!The ribbons would be EK2 and a ? I would have thought Lippe-Detmold kvk but the ribbon is not one of these? Any info on the text, etc would be very much appreciated.Rob Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
