    Beautiful foto!

You are correct with identification of "MKPU".

МКПУ - Московское Краснознаменное пехотное училище им. Верховного Совета РСФСР.

This school is one of the most famous military school in USSR. It has its history from Dec. 1917. It has such name ("MKPU") during 1938-1958.

Now it's "Московское высшее военное командное училище (МВВКУ)" - "Moscow's high military command school".
