Robin Lumsden Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 This is a similar one being worn, I think (the photo is very small).
Robin Lumsden Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 The gorget is typical imperial style, in nickeled and fire-gilded bronze, with four screw posts holding the centre fitting in place. The quality is fantastic.I've never seen another one in 35 years.
Robin Lumsden Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 Another Wehrwolf standard-bearer, but without a gorget.
Pete A Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Wasn't the actual Wehrwolf standart for sale a while ago, or do I remember incorrectly?Pete
Chris Boonzaier Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Anyone ever seen one of these before? It looks like one of those Generic gorgets you could buy and have a badge of some sort added, in this case the W one. I think usually hunting associations, vetrans etc could buy them nad have their badge added. Its just a question of when it was added and if the Dinkelsb?hlbach Hunting association badge was not on the Gorget until 1998 before an "upgrade" was made.
