Al,

I'm fairly certain that its the Admiral Scheer. Prior to her re-fit Scheer was an almost identical twin to Admiral Graf Spee, and both served in Spanish waters during the civil war. (The painted bands over the turret roofs are recognition signs for German ships during the Spanish civil war).

However,in the photos I have seen of Spee during this period, she has already had the searchlight platforms each side of the bridge structure removed, and replaced by a single platform on the face of the bridge.

This photo still shows the platforms on the side of the bridge so I'd say its Admiral Scheer.

Thanks Gordon, as far as I have been able to tell the differences between the 2 ships were minor and after staring at numerous pictures on the net of the entire class, I was no farther ahead in figuring out the name of this ship.
