I am not the best in ww2 militaria.................but please correct me if I should be wrong.....................among his Wehrmacht awards this guy is wearing in his button hole a....................................WW1 iron cross !!!!or the ribbon for it.......... or I don`t know what............ maybe I am only colourblind..................... but..............yesterday everything was ok with my eyes

So I think it's black outer with white stripes and a red central stripe. WW2 in my opinion but I'm not the best at shades of gray and black. Edited June 5, 2008 by ccj
Guest Rick Research Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Yup, it's a 1939. Some photographic developing chemicals (?) leave red almost as dark as black. Look at the Austrian and Sudeten medals' ribbons.
