hiya,

if i recall correctly it was an organization that covered volunteers up through 1918. there is also a version without swords.

Very nice K?st-marked badge! He was a big maker of Freikorps awards who seems to have vanished in the 1920s-- perhaps done in by the 1923 inflation? I should check out the Berlin city directories online and see when he vanishes from the listings. :beer:
