WWII Bronze star to Belgian

Hi guys,

I just found a named bronze star awarded to a belgian liaison officier in 1945.

Does anyone have any idea how many Bronze Stars were given to Belgians in WWII?

How many were given to other foreigners?

In 1947, the US Army reported that it had awarded 164 Bronze Stars to Belgians.

British Empire - 1242

China - 49

Czechoslovakia - 7

Denmark - 2

France - 1752

Germany - 2

Greece - 1

Italy - 176

Luxembourg - 4

Netherlands - 66

Norway - 5

Poland - 54

USSR - 129

Unfortunately, they only reported numbers, not names of the recipients.

I can give you 1 name with citation:

Capitaine commandant J.G. de Buyl, belgian army.:

"For meritorious service in connection with military operations against the ennemy as senior Belgian Liaison Officer serving with the G-5 section, HQ 1st US Army, from 26 December 1944 to 10 May 1945, in Belgium and Germany." (awarded on 25 October 1945)

Do you know which US headquarters issued the orders?

I'm starting to gather up orders for US awards to allies and knowing the issuing headquarters would be helpful in searching for citations.
