Heer IAB, 2 GAB's and a PAB... opinions please

Hi all,

Been out of TR a long time but picked up a few pieces at a local auction and need opinions as to good/bad and if good a fair price to sell it/them for. Have a feeling the PAB is a fake and possibly the GAB's but I feel the IAB may be good... but I'll leave it to the experts.

Hi Dan,

Sorry, but in my opinion all of these are reproductions. The IAB is a very crude and poor fake. The 2 GABs are known as the "angry donald duck" fake, very common and well made, but still fake. The PAB is a decent copy of an original, but still some things wrong with the obverse design and reverse setup.

Many thanks for the opinion. It's pretty much what I expected. I had hopes... but. I don't have a ton in them which is good. It was a gamble and had one of them worked out it would have paid off. If nothing else I've learned that when I got into all this I knew enough to do well... but now... I don't think I'll touch TR with a ninety metre cattle prod. Just too much to keep up with anymore and my poor old befeebled brain is not up for it.

I wouldn't feel bad. I believe I was taken with the same type of repo.

That was before I found this site. Which should appears to be quite a resource to avoid these sort of things.
