Very interesting box. I've owned several 98k ammo boxes over the years but have never seen one in this configuration with the latches on the side and a lock. I know that armourers often carried their tools in one of these boxes. Perhaps this is a possible use for it?

In case you did not have this piece of info, the maker, CZP, is Ostland-Werke G.m.b.h., K?nigsberg/Pr., Tharauerstr. 26.

Thanks for info.I have this info.My father told that German use this box for ammo.My father seen 500 such box with K 98 ammo.
