Hello....sorry for the late reply.....I don't think this buckle is a legit example. It might have been a real box (SA?) and had a Heer roundel applied to it later. I have not seen these types of buckles before in my "travels".

It doesn't give me a good feeling inside.

The roundel is an original, I have seen many of these on Alu two piece buckles, not sure about the box. If that is ok looks like someone has soldered a alu roundel to a SA brass box, original but tampered :banger:

Hello there,

It looks as if two buckles have been made into one. If it were cheap I might jump on it as it does look rather appealing to the eyes but who knows during what time period it was assembled.

Sorry for the late reply, the topic just caught my notice.

The box looks like the old Imperial issue, with the white metal crown and motto replaced by the Nev Government's. I support the idea not to reject it.
