EK 1914 Giant Iron Cross.

Sadly now kept securely locked up behind glass, this is certainly the biggest Iron Cross I have ever had the pleasure of holding in my hands. The famous conning tower emblem of U-9, part of a small collection of U-9 memorabilia including her ships clock and momentos from crew members.

No such luck. It is in the collection of the U-Boot Archiv in Cuxhaven-Altenbruch.

Somewhere amidst the rabbit chewed detritus I have a picture of the U-9 with that on the tower in harbor. I'll go search for it.
