Richard Gordon Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 (edited) All,Could I pick your brains? A work colleague's wife is the granddaughter of a 4 Gebirgsj?ger Division veteran who has since passed away. She is currently devoted to finding out as much about the 4 Gebirgsj?ger as possible. Could any one recommend reference material on this division that is best for historical and pictural content? (She speaks both German and English.)I believe she has this book "Enzian und Edelweiss Die 4. Gebirgs-Division 1940 - 1945" by Julius Braun but has found it too technical. I have conducted some internet research and see there is another author who seems to specialise in Gebirgs Division - Roland Kaltenegger. Would you recommend any of his works? Are there any other books that would be recommended?I found a few websites but there's not a huge amount of detailed information:http://www.gebirgsjaeger.4mg.com/4gebdiv.htm http://www.feldgrau.com/4hg.html http://www.axishistory.com/index.php?id=1047ThanksRichard Edited December 9, 2008 by Richard Gordon
