There is a photo of Max-Josef Schindler on page 374 of "The War Merit Cross" by Gordon Williamson & Josef Charita published by R. James Bender Publishing, San Jose, CA 95153, 2008.

As this is copyrighted material, I can not - will not scan & post. I will give this book a hearty recommendation.
