    Gentlemen,

Early in 2009, 2 Jan to be exact, I spent a few days in Salzburg. While there I visited the Salzburg castle. On the top floor they have a small but excellent museum. There is a very good display of uniforms associated with the fighting on the Italian Front plus an excellent display of medals. Also on display is a number of medal and ribbon bars from individuals whoi presumably have given them to the museum. While some span the time from the Austro-Hungarian Empire through WWII and beyond I'll only post those that are of major interest to the A-H Empire. There may be one post war medal included, as is the case with a lot of them, but I didn'y want to leave out these bars because of that. The photography isn't the greatest as there was the usual problems whith glass and lighting reflections. I hope that you find these of interest.

    Regards,

    Gordon

This medal bar contains more than one post war medal but I fond it most interesting because of the four stripe A-H wound medal and the German gold Wound Badge that were part of the display.

Suttner's VERY freaky post-1938 bar would not have been believable if it appeared on eBay-- what a bizarre mounting style! :speechless1:
