Rod Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I am not sure which forum to show this ... but I understand this is a Kaiserliche Marine pin for officers civilian wear.It was hard to scan but it is a Kaiserkrone ... very finely made.Rod
Rod Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Chip .... thank you..I checked and it reads "925" which must be silver content.????? Guess it must be gold gilded.I have never seen one of these before, but it is probably just my inexperience.Rod
Chip Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Yes, that's silver content. Don't worry about not having seen this on before. There is a never ending list of them, encompassing everything from military related to the bowling club. I have a few regimental examples, but one could make a whole career collecting them.Chip

Rod Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Eric ... I just ran across a dealer's listing which shows the pin you presented above. The dealer referred to it as a "patriotic" pin.In any event, it sure has personality!!!!Rod
