Paul C Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I picked this ribbon bar up a few months ago and did an initial ID to a Wurttemberger offizier. After obtaining his service record from the archive I was able to determine that the ID was incorrect. At last weeks SOS show I found the ribbon bars little brother. I am sure that his big medal bar brother is out there and that some day I will find it.
Ulsterman Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Cool-Interesting he got the PrKvK.Wrtmbrg. Regimental/Brigade commander in 1918?
Guest Rick Research Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 SHOULD be a unique combination. The BMV4XKr here to a non-Bavarian normally indicates a Major's initial award-by-rank-- yet there is no long service award. And to find a WM3 with the War Effort Cross ...got to have been a General Staff officer with some sort of combined frontline and rear GHQ/economic posting....but we're not set up to ID W?rttmebergers as readily as Prussians.Amazing reunification!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!
Paul C Posted March 10, 2009 Author Posted March 10, 2009 The only other person who may fit is a Major Rudolf Permauer in the War Ministery.
