cnock Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Hello,I am looking for more info (date of birth, career, etc) concerning Oberleutnant Konrad BURMEISTER - IR 172kia 11/5/1915Regards,Cnock
Guest Rick Research Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 What have you got?The "Ehrenmal" listing of Prussian officer casualties shows him killed on 10 May near Hooge:While that shows his pre-war unit as Eisenbahn Regiment 2 (!!!!!) he was actually always in Eisenbahn Regiment 3 from being commissioned on. Leutnant 17.08.07 U6uOberleutnant would have been on 27.01.15 but I don't have a seniority suffix since he was deaad before the 1917 Seniority ListThe Honor Rank List 1914-1918 shows his death place as "near Gheluvelt."This sort of discrepancy (and error) is typical-- that's why more than one period source is always a good way to compare data.
