I am in the process of buying a Wehrpass and photo of a Sonderfuhrer who was with Feldeisenbahn-Betriebs Abt. 23. I have googled it to no effect. Does anyone know anything about this unit?

Volume 4 of Georg Tessin's series "Verb?nde und Truppen der deutschen Wehrmacht und Waffen SS 1939-1945" shows that this unit was raised on 08.05.1842 in Wehrkreis XIII (N?rnberg). It was an army level level, that in 1944, found itself in Serbia assigned to Feldeisenb. Kdo I. October 1944 moved to Belgrade and 1945 to Slavonsky Brod under Feldeisenb. Kdo 7.

Not much, but perhaps a start.
