I got this beautiful set from the same person I got the Major General's set. This rank is listed just below that of Saddam's(Field Marshall). They were 2003 bring backs.

The construction is not of good Quality, manufactured by an Iraqi Taylor and not manufactured by the famous Germany company that was manufacturing the Insignia in the pre 1990's.

The military Academy for staff of Higher Officers red stipe is to thin and the stitiching looks like it was rushed, for a high ranking officer he would have worn a better quality Rank Sleeve.

I agree that these are not pre 1991 insignia, but I feel that they are pre 2003 invasion. They were brought back late summer 2003.

You can see the cross strings from each symbol on the rank sleeve, this shows that it was a hand made machine swen Rank it was stopped and dragged across to make the next outlined symbol that was drawn on by chock or another means to an out line for the stars and the swords.

The color of the base material is green. The scanner is having problems picking it up. It is the same color as the green uniform.
