    K?niglich S?chsisches 5. Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr.64

I have Oberstleutnant Wagner for 1914

    My questions:

1.) Where there any other commanders of FAR64 during 1914 to 1919?

2.) Was Oberstleutnant Wagner promoted to Oberst while commanding FAR64?

    Hardy,

Erich Wagner was promoted to Oberst on 16.12.15 having left the regiment the previous August. He was replaced by Major Karl Br?ck until December 1915.

17 December 1915: Major Georg Richter (Oberstleutnant 22.5.16)

20 July 1917: Major Gottfried Leonhardi KIA 12 April 1918

    April 1918: Major Felix Ingenbrand

    Regards

    Glenn

The pips and number have been on this shoulder board for a long time. It is a very heavy, elaborately built shoulder board.

As Glenn posted, there was no Oberst in charge of this Regiment throughout the war.

    My questions are:

    1. Could this board be from a pre war FAR64 commander in the rank of an Oberst? (Was there one?)

    2. Would have Wagner, after having left the Regiment, still worn his old boards as an Oberst?

In the rank list of 1911 of the Royal Saxon Army there was no Oberst commander of any field artillery regiment.
