Ed_Haynes
Very tentative identification. Help???Note that the rimmon seems to be the same as that for the Medal ?120th Anniversary of I. V. Stalin?.

Ed_Haynes
Thanks for this.Purely (impurely?) commercial, or made up at the request of some organization?Surely nothing official.(Wish it were possible to get some of these. )
Roman Slivin
I saw, that these medals carry, probably them and someone awards. But I concern such "awards" not so well.Uniform not the Christmas fur-tree.
TacHel
Even the Russian web site lists it in the "MISC" section... Says it all really.Like Roman said, a nice Xmas tree ornament...
Ed_Haynes
But a fascinating sociological commentary, like the "commorative" medals being produced in the US and UK (and ??? and ???) for those who don't feel their medal group (or ????) is long enough.Though I'd think that today's Russia had enough medals (at all levels) to satisfy anyone's "needs"? Thanks! Edited April 30, 2009 by Ed_Haynes
TacHel
Ed my friend... You have a "quasi morbid" fascination for these old communist organizations that are hanging on by their fingernails and slowly sinking into oblivion ... Even the Russians are now starting to treat them for what they are... Anachronisms!Like I mentioned before (in another forum), to me, this is akin the Neo-Nazi party producing and bestowing awards bearing swastikas in modern day Germany. Es macht keinen Sinn! Roman Slivin
I would add, that now in Russia is engaged in check of all not official awards. There is their prohibition. In any case informal awards CANNOT be made similar to the state awards.
