Guest Rick Research Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 I'd say from the combination this was an elderly former Major/Oberstleutnant aD called back out of retirement who replaced his old XXV Years Service Cross with the double Wehrmachts in 1939 per regulations.At this stage of awards rolls work, cannot immediately put a name to him. There are no Brunswick rolls which makes it a bit tricky, but with the Mecklenburg Schwerin ones nearing completion, that COULD be enough to reconstruct who he was.
