Danny Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 (edited) Gday Danny, I've checked the picture and (of course) I didn't look on the back....my grandmother had written the following...."Sidney - I think. Canadian cousin. His mother is related to the Johnson's or Thomas's. He was killed on Armistice Day"The Johnson's and Thomas's were my grandmother's mother's relatives.....hoo boy we're going back in time now!Maybe this'll help find out where he was killed?cheers JasonI did a search of Thomas' and Johnsons and could only come up with one Thomas who died on November 12th 1918. I doubt it is your relative but one never knows. Any more clues as to his name? I include the link for your perusal:http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/sub.cfm...casualty=321787 Edited February 4, 2006 by Danny
Jason Posted February 5, 2006 Author Posted February 5, 2006 Cheers Danny, unfortunately thats all the info I have, unless I can somehow find out how to contact the Canadian branch of my family through my mother.....my grandmother died on October '04 (92 years young) but I do remember she was very vague about him as well.Oh well....more research coming, perfect for those days when its quiet at work..... cheers Jason
