Bill Garvy Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) This award card dated April 5th, 1955 captures the same information as above, yet mentions an Order Booklet Nr. 457449 and adds a Bravery Medal Nr. 3588372, awarded by the 465th Rifle Regiment on October 30th, 1944, and an unnumbered Order of Glory III awarded by the 167th Rifle Division on December 3rd, 1944. Bill Garvy Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) This award card, dated March 18, 1946, lists his assignment in the 4th Ukrainian Front, 60th Army, 9th Independent Battalion, and was subsequently overwritten in 1956 to reflect the awarding of an Order of Glory II Class by an Edict of the Supreme Soviet dated March 31st, 1956 for an Order of Glory III Class awarded by the 60th Army. Although initially uncertain of the number, thinking it may have been 38956, a visual comparison with Orders of Glory 38254 and 38224 revealed an exact match as to the engraving style of the "2". . .
