Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

Fighting during continuous enemy artillery and mortar fire in difficult, mobility-restricted, mountainous-forested terrain near the population centers of Ruske and Velka Polyana, Private Klimov advanced forward of the fighting positions and by capably changing firing positions, he suppressed one enemy firing position with accurate machinegun bursts and killed as many as 35 German soldiers, thus permitting the freedom of movement to our advancing small units.

Comrade Klimov is deserving of the Order of Glory III Class.

Signed Regimental Commander, Major Taratukhin and Chief of Staff, Major Blinov on 12.11.44

    Reverse. . .

Although initially uncertain of the number, thinking it may have been 38956, a visual comparison with Orders of Glory 38254 and 38224 revealed an exact match as to the engraving style of the "2". . .

My thanks to Alexi Merezhko and Paul Schmitt. . .
