rolfester
Hi all, My first post here, I would like some help with this cap badge please if possible. I've had it for years and can't find any reference for it at all. Does anyone recognise it? It does look like either fusiliers or grenadiers but the laurels around the outside throw me off. Many thanks in advance.

Mervyn Mitton
I'm probably way off - but could it be for any of the mentioned units - but, for their band? Looks like a lyre around the grenade.
Desertrat
Im not that good with British Millitaria but to me it looks like a WWI American Ordanence Corp cap badge.
peter monahan
Im not that good with British Millitaria but to me it looks like a WWI American Ordanence Corp cap badge. I agree that it doesn't look British - a very distinctive look but unfamiliar.
leigh kitchen
It's a cross belt device, worn by some yeomanry regiments & possibly other Volunteer regiments, it appears in silver / white metal & in gilded brass (I have one of the latter). Somewhere on the forum there's a thread on these badges which was started off a few months ago, a silver or white metal one was posted for identification with the hope that it was an insignia worn by a Lancashire Fusilier Volunteer unit - I can't find the thread though...........
