Stogieman Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Spotted this unusual ribbon bar on eBay. I think we can be reasonably certain the East Medal ribbon is new... but the Croation ribbons and devices are rather interesting. I wonder what the first ribbon was originally? Clearly a German manufactured piece... Yours for a mere $75.00 (!!!) opening bid! :speechless1:
eitze Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Hi Stogieman, a nice piece, but the wrong forum. The Independent State of Croatia 1941-45 was everything - but definite not Communist greetings eitze
numisobol Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Dear Stogieman, first one is ribbon bar for War Commemoration Sign instituted in 1943. The right to wear CS was given to all those who did the military service in Croatian army in the country or abroad for at least one year. This one is with national emblem so this one is for those who fought in the face of the enemy, or spent at least 6 month on front, or commanding fighting units. Second one is Pavelic Bronze bravery medal. All the best to you and your family in 2010 Borna Barac
Valter Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 But I have to mention that wear&tear of the ribbons is very inconsistent - winterschlacht ribbon looks very new, while NDH ribbons seem old and faded... This smells some messing up! :shame:
SasaYU Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I think that this topic should be moved to: WW2: Axis Forces Militaria
Noor Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I am pretty sure that I saw this bar on sale before on some internet antique web??
