Kriegsmarine KM timer / clock ?

Can anyone identify this please. It has the serial number KS42/189. The movement operates 4 electrical contacts at different times. It is about 10cm across

No idea what it is for but it looks interesting, does it work?

yes it still works, it needs the movement cleaning as it only works for a relativly short time. I have even asked Konrad Knirim and he has not seen one like it before but believes it is genuine.
