Unknown medal

Hello to all!

I believe this medal to be of the Imperial period, but I am not sure. I have no information on this at all.

The medal itself is about 1 inch in height and 1 inch in width. There is nothing written on the back.

Any information would be helpful and appreciated.

Any ideas?

Militär Verein Grossdeuben und Umgebung.

Its a member pin of the Military Veteran Association of Grossdeuben and surrounding area (a town south of Leipzig in Saxony).

Period is Weimar-Republic 1920 - 1930's

Hardy I would say that this cross because of it`s style and the writing should more fit in the time period after the 1870er war.... or? the rest of course is 110% right :D
