Mike Dwyer Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Very nice. I particularly enjoy the view of him over his lifetime.
IrishGunner Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 At the beach with the Ladies This is a definitive photo for a young lieutenant...
Glenn J Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I am assuming this is your Herr Abel: commissioned as a Leutnant der Reserve in Kavallerie-Regiment Nr. 85 on 20.7.16. Regards Glenn
Guest Rick Research Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 My favorite-- an entire life's story in photos!!! That portrait on horseback with a lance in the midst of a snowy forest is a real gem. Not sure exactly which one he was for the Second war-- isn't listed at all in the January 1939 (yet he has a Wehrmacht 4) and there are a couple of suspects in 1944 but neither from cavalry.
