    Kevin,

Do you happen to know what "C.T.A." stands for?

Working on it, intorogating Mircà over dinner :P

    Another "C.T.A. 3" related pin.

    http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2010/post-950-126850993483.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2010/post-950-126850997248.jpg

And I think I have sussed what its awarded for,

part of the Firebrigade training was accuracy with the fire hose,

Fire stations would run competiotions with regards who could hit

and knock over wooden targets, the "3" is probably either a 3rd place

result in a competion or a grade.

UNKNOWN (as yet) YOUNG PIONEER I & II Insignia.

    http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2010/post-950-126851126184.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2010/post-950-126851128269.jpg

Possibly, (and I speculate here) connected to the older members of the Y.P.

The badge depicts signs of Industry, Agriculture, and Electric / Communications.

These do not follow the yellow & blue grades as other badges shown here,

opting instead for Red & Blue.

    Size:- 20mm X 12mmBoth come with "M.S." pins.

    "TOT INAINTE" INSIGNIA

    "THE WAY FORWARD"

    http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2010/post-950-126851192779.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2010/post-950-126851195766.jpg

Although lacking the distinctive Young Pioneer symbol

"TOT INAINTE" was the theme song of the Young Pioneers.

    Badge 1 size:- 25mm X 16mm.

    Badge 2 size:- 22mm X22mm.

The rocket badge was connected to Young Pioneer involved in Model Rocket Clubs. From what I gather there was also

a period propaganda movie called "The White Rocket".

Now another variation of the same badges:-

    The front is the same.

Size is the same at 32 mm.

Note suspension between medalion and hange is different.

Its to the rear where the main difference is:-

The slogan is stamped into the medalion on the type on the left.

And is raised in the type on the right.

Both of these have "M.S." marked pin systems.
