Hi all

I found this picture of Lieutenant General Tadamichi Kuribayashi on the internet. He was the officer responsible for the defense of Iwo Jima. Does someone know which medal he is wearing on the lower right?

Here is an example of the 6th class which I have in my collection. All classes are very rare since post 1945 it was pretty much an instant death sentence if you were found to be the reecipient of one of these in China.

very nice Paul! I now found this similar order in the Chinese Orders Book from Gongqing Li. But there it is called the Order of Common Honor and it looks pretty much the same expect the ribbon color (Red and White). Where is the difference beetwen these two?

Hi Paul, what does the inscriptions on the rear of the medal and on the lid of case say?

It simply says "6th Class United Glory Order".

No idea on price these days. I paid about $900 for it around ten years ago and Chinese medals have increased considerably in price since then.
