I think the fact that he transfered to the 180 IR on the 30.6.1916... and the 1ste day of the Somme offensive was on the 1.7.1916 is what caught my eye... poor bastard.... Captain Brunnenmiller was awarded the EK2, Wilhelmskreuz with swords, Wound Badge and and at a later undefined date the EK1 (I assume WW2) What had the seller hopping was his posting from the 6.10.42-10.8.43....
