bmsm
These are two pieces of German Notgeld also known as emergency money used from 1914-1923. The money was issued by town savings banks, municipalities, private and state owned firms and was not legal tender but was a mutually accepted means of payment. The notes can be coins or made out of leather, silk, linen, paper, porcelain, etc. The two notes I have are made out of linen and are very colorful.
