MASteel Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Hello all, As a newbie in this area all help is welcomed... Are these three legit manufacturers marks? First unissued one
MASteel Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 ...same as previous but bit more worn Do these look ok? Thanks, Miikka
Michael Johnson Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Dorothea Knitting Mills was probably the biggest supplier or berets to the Canadian Army. But I think I've seen Grand'Mere as well. They look fine to me.
MASteel Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 Thx Michael ! Do you know any "ballpark market price range" for these? I've not been able to find any reference prices from the net... Cheers, Miikka
servicepub Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Thx Michael ! Do you know any "ballpark market price range" for these? I've not been able to find any reference prices from the net... Cheers, Miikka They are good but not uncommon. Expect $30-40 each.
leigh kitchen Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Worn 1943-51, when the khaki beret was replaced by navy blue for general wear, with large coloured front patches, that style being replaced by berets with smaller coloured patches as backing to the cap[ badges in 1954?
