Luftmensch Posted December 31, 2005 Share Posted December 31, 2005 (edited) I'm not a bayonet guy, but I'm putting together a WW1 Bavarian pilot's group on a mannequin. What would be a classic dress bayonet that I should look for to hang off him as I see in the Sanke cards? I could wing in at a show but I'm not even sure I could tell an officer's dress bayonet from an other ranks. And could a Bavarian pilot wear an Eickhorn or would he more likely wear a Bavarian maker with crown stamp? And is there a special bayonet portepee or would any old sword knot do?
