Noor Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Hi, Today arrived really nice imperial Russia "Medal of 300 Years Romanov Tercentenary". It was awarded to civilian officials and army personell in 1913. Probably one of the most common awards still to find. Text on the reverse: BЪ ПAMЯTb 300- ЛETIЯ ЦAPCTBOBAHIЯ ДOMA POMAHOBЫXЪ 1613-1913 (For the 300 years of tsarhood of the House of Romanov 1613-1913) I really like it, but especially because it is pretty hard to find imperial Russia medals with the original period ribbons! Please show your imperial awards with original ribbons
Noor Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 Under the black light. Next to the original is piece of same modern ribbon for comparing
Claudius Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 While I have my imperial russian stuff out from lock and key. (not that hard to bring it out, there isn't very much and fits in one riker mount) I'll take some pictures of medals that I believe are orginal ribbons. I may black light them first to increase my odds of having it right, but I would like to hear what others may judge. (my St. George 3rd and 4th class won't be in this thread)
