Good morning gents, I received a question from someboy who bought one of my 1914 EKIIs, who pointed out that the tiny cross on top of the crown was missing. I had a look at all my other EKIIs and discovered that about half of them did not have clear crosses on top of the crown. Some had a sphere like shape, yet all are magnetic, and all are maker marked. I had no answer for him, have I sold him a dud, and in return, is half my collection fake?

Chalk it up to artistic license on behalf of the Ek manufacture or to the quality

of the core castings / stampings. Few of mine have well defined crosses either.

You could always post pictures here for more opinions.

Thanks Greg! I suggested it may have been a casting flaw, but wasn't sure so thought I'd consult the experten! I didn't really think there would be a point to faking marked magnetic 1914 EKIIs :)
