This item appears to be in the middle of a bidding war.

It is listed as a Grand Cordon First Class but the seller fails to mention that it is missing the Breast Badge. It seems that the only items being sold are the Grand Cordon sash and the sash badge. There is no case and no Breast Badge. The bidding at this time is $2,402.00. There are 25 bidders.

I would have guessed the value of a complete set at around $5,000-6,000 so it will be interesting to see what this goes for.

That seems a fair price, given that the sash badge is harder to find than the breast star.
