Noor Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Hi all, This nice portrait is on the way to my house but I would like to find out more about it. I wasn't sure first, is this uniform German at all but guys from OMSA (thanks again John F and Lukasz Gaszewski:cheers: ) confirmed it. So, man on the picture is junior officer from Württemberg Ulanen Regiments. He is wearing most likely the Regierungs-Jubiläums-Medaille of king Karl von Württemberg of 1889, commemorating the 25th anniversary of his reign. I haven't seen Württemberg medals on trifold before;) . But why this junior officer is wearing breast star what should be awarded by rank only to the senior officers? Can he be some kind a Royalty? In this case does any of you recognise him? Any help and comments would be great! Timo
Glenn J Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Timo, I think he is Herzog Ulrich von Württemberg of Ulanen-Regiment Nr. 20. Regards Glenn
