Emanuel
This is a medal from Serbia Principality era, the Military virtue medal that Prince at that time Milan I Obrenovic establish after the "Timocki" revolt in Serbia. That revolt was a very interesting part of Serbian History with bloody political turnout, under the blanket of gathering the weapons that common people had in their possession, with the new law that the Prince establish, he manage to deal with a lot of political figures that had influence that period in the country, mostly the Radical Party under M.Panic. Medals have been awarded in 1884 to Officers and soldiers that help to surpass the revolt and those early variations was made in Vienna , one of these mark makers was Christlbauer. This is the first type of Medal for Military virtues from mm Christlbauer -Vienna in great condition for it's age.
