rusticalex Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 (edited) Hi - a bit of help needed here please with dating this old photo! On the back it says, in pencil, "Peshawar Mountain Battery in action, Kuram Valley, N. W. frontier India". I know my grandfather's cousin served with the 51st Light Infantry in the campaign on the N. W. frontier of India (Ambela) in 1863, so maybe it is from then? Perhaps someone with knowledge that I haven't got (!) could help. Whenever it is from, mind you, I still like it! I've also done a few close-ups in case that helps. Edited January 23, 2011 by rusticalex
