Romania Very RARE WW2 Medal

From my understanding, (and I do stand open to correction) this medal was to have been awarded to those who fought

on the Russian Front in Winter Campaign, however, as time and events rapidly over took the country before any awards could be made to the military.

The example pictured sold very recently on Evil-Bay USA for $2,950.00

More detail will be added as I research more about this rare medal.

Carries the Cipher of King Michael of Romania.

Diameter:- 32mm

In Tombac with artificial patina.

The ribbon ring set up is very similar to the

Romanian 1941 "Crusade Against Communism" Medal of WW2.

The text to the rear translates to "WINTER CAMPAIGN".

With no Maker mark or designer name.
