Michael Johnson Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 4. India Service Medal.* * awarded to officers and men of the Indian Armed Forces for 3 years non-operational service in India, in effect, it took the place of the British Defence Medal in respect of Indian Forces. Kevin in Deva. And thus almost impossible for anyone not resident in India to get, as they would qualify for the Defence Medal for overseas non-operational service.
Kev in Deva Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 Hallo Michael So, is it a rare award to find on a bar? Seeing he has the Burma Star that would seem to indicate him being based out of India? Kevin in Deva.
