M42 Helmet Decal

I've had this M42 helmet for a good few years now. Always wondered if the decal is original to it or not.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

In deference to collectors here, I suggest you look at the Wehrmach Awards website, and do a search. There are loads of threads on tranfers (decals)

I can't tell.

I am not a fan of this decal at all. Helmets are not my focus, but this decal does not match any of the originals I have seen in the past. The color and details seem a bit off to me.
