Stogieman Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Greetings All, finally finding time to post some images. Here's some earlier RPR items to enjoy. First up, the 1952 Jubilee Medal, Cased
Stogieman Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 RPR, 1953 Jubilee Medal, 10 Years of The Romanian Army
Stogieman Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 RPR Order of The Star, Fifth Class, Cased with Document.
Stogieman Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 RPR Order of Labor, Early style "Monarchy" case, with document. This is an astonishingly refined and delicate piece.
Stogieman Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 Document for the Labor Award, 1957 (same recipient as Star V.)
Stogieman Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 RPR, 1964 Order 23 August, Cased, documented
Stogieman Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 Document for above Order, again, same recipient.
Stogieman Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 From a different documented group, we have a nice RPR 10 Year svc medal, a very clean WW2 Victory Medal and a Soviet Victory medal with the original silk ribbon intact!
Kev in Deva Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Congratulations on your new acquisitions, its great to get items with cases and paper work together! Kevin in Deva.
Stogieman Posted July 9, 2011 Author Posted July 9, 2011 I cannot explain the fascination I have with this order. It just seems very beautiful to me. I have recently acquired a Fourth Class Cased to go with the Fifth Class I already have watch over.
Stogieman Posted July 9, 2011 Author Posted July 9, 2011 More images. Maybe it's the resemblance to early imperial era breast stars? In any event, I am quite pleased with this example!
Kev in Deva Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 A very nice addition to your collection, Congratulations. Kevin in Deva.
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 I received this interesting Order of Labor (RPR, 3.Kl.) not too long ago. It raises a lot of questions for me.... Looks like a "Royalty" era case? The paper tag on the lid that matches the stamping? Why the numbering? I've seen an awful lot of this award floating about.... but precious few numbered? How rare is this style/type? Here's some details from Rick Research's scanner:
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Here's a broader view of the order, front & back:
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Now, to further complicate the questions.... Here's another example (2.Kl.) with a numbered pin, as opposed to a number stamped into the backing plate. Later case, possibly/probably mis-matched?
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 I still don't have the hang of the new format... here's the order a bit larger perhaps.

Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Some additional finds: The 1964 Armed Forces Jubilee Medal, 20 Years of The Army, cased.
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Early RPR Labor Medal with nice case:
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 RPR Military Merit Medal, Five Years Service, cased.
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 1962 Collectivization of Agriculture Medal, cased.
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Here's an even earlier RPR Labor Medal, cased.
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Here's another early example of the RPR Order of Labor, Second Class. This time no number on pin or back of order.
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 This is my only RSR era piece... a Labor Medal, with document. It's in a RPR case that someone very carefully scratched out the "P" in RPR!
Stogieman Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Here's a close-up of the scratched area and the document:
