FOR VALOUR Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Good Evening, These items came to me today but i have no idea as to thier meaning please could anyone advise many thanks they came in the leather pouch pictured. Regards Davis (H)
JBFloyd Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 The bars with the compass and square are Masonic in origin (as are the similar pieces, I suspect). The top bars with the horns and "Primo" are from the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffalos, a British fraternal group. The pouch probably was used to hold the insignia of one of these groups.
Jim_Tennet Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 The items in the top two pictures are ornaments that adorn Masonic aprons. The T shaped pieces are upside down and are on a Worshipful Master's apron replacing the rosettes on a Master Mason's apron. The item on the left of the third picture is, of course, a US Army Officer's cap badge. Pyramid Lodge 5718 under The United Grand Lodge of England meets at Freemasons Hall, Great Queen Street, London, England. More info about the various bars (excluding the Buffs stuff) could be found from them.
