    Greece - Ribbon bar question/confirmation

    Recommended Posts

    Hi all,

Here is one interesting ribbon bar what I got and few questions arrised.

    1. Order of George I, Commander

    2. Order of the Phoenix with the swrods

    3. Order of Saint Maurize and Saint Lazarus (Italy)

Looks like Colonel level officer. Meantime I don't understand how come there isn't any campaign awards, etc or the last ribbon isn't Italian at all and in this case it is just a first row?

Also how come Order of George I is commander's grade and Phoenix isn't? Can it be a case that the Phoenix was awarded after 1926 when the owner held junior rank and after Goerge I order was restored 1935, this officer held senior rank and was awarded Order of George I commander's class?

Any ideas about this set would be great! Also is there a way and point to try to fix the rosette?

This ribbon bar does not really make sense. Maybe it isn't real. The last one looks too "light" green to be a St Maurice and St Lazarus Order (but I don't know what it could be) and the Phoenix should have been of a higher class and it should have been followed by a Phoenix without swords.
