David M Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 On the the WAF forum there was a picture of a cross sometime ago, of which no one really know what it was,I think it is bavarian (blue-white ribbon) and its a firemen award (because of the flames) But I hope you can confirm this or help me out otherwise?ThanksDavid M.
Guest Rick Research Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 What is on the reverse?I would suspect that this is something to do with the Einwohnerwehr, the Civic Guard of 1919+ because1) this is not one of the Bavarian Weimar era regular/volunteer fire long service awards2) "Not" suggests "emergency" which I would interpret that and the tiny flames here as in the bad times after the war as Red insurgents seemed to be taking over town after town3) The ribbon is that of royal Bavarian army long service awards-- but was used as the EWW armband colorshere is an EWW M?nchen member's armband:[attachmentid=23791]VerKuilen Ager will know what this is, if anybody does.
David M Posted January 21, 2006 Author Posted January 21, 2006 Hi Rick,Well that's something I didnot expect. Here is the reverse. Thanks for the infoDavid M
