    On the the WAF forum there was a picture of a cross sometime ago, of which no one really know what it was,

    I think it is bavarian (blue-white ribbon) and its a firemen award (because of the flames) But I hope you can confirm this or help me out otherwise?

    Thanks

    What is on the reverse?

    I would suspect that this is something to do with the Einwohnerwehr, the Civic Guard of 1919+ because

    1) this is not one of the Bavarian Weimar era regular/volunteer fire long service awards

    2) "Not" suggests "emergency" which I would interpret that and the tiny flames here as in the bad times after the war as Red insurgents seemed to be taking over town after town

    3) The ribbon is that of royal Bavarian army long service awards-- but was used as the EWW armband colors

    here is an EWW M?nchen member's armband:

    [attachmentid=23791]

    VerKuilen Ager will know what this is, if anybody does.
